Boutonnière of the groom

What is it?

It’s a flower worn on the lapel of the groom’s coat.

Like the bride’s bouquet, the groom also wears his floral adornment on his wedding day, very close to his heart – the so-called Boutonnière of the groom.

In the past, the groom only wore a flower, usually a white carnation, but over the years and the increasing number of possibilities for adornment for the groom, we saw the appearance of the groom’s Boutonnière.

The Boutonnière must be attached to the left side of the groom’s coat by a pin to the groom’s coat, and must contain a flower like the one used by the bride in her bouquet.
